Shereen Bhan (Batch of 94) is the Managing Editor of CNBC-TV18. She is a Leading Indian Journalist and News Anchor. Post AFBBS,she did her graduation from St. Stephen’s College in Philosophy and Master’s in Communication Studies from University of Pune, with Film and Television as her area of specialization. Shereen has spent the last 19 years tracking Corporate, Policy News and Events that defined business landscape in India. She started her career as a news-researcher with Karan Thapar at UTV’s News and Current Affairs Division and produced shows like “We The People” for Star TV and “Line of Fire” for SAB TV and “Hard Talk India” for BBC. She joined CNBC-TV18 in December 2000 and has lead the channel for past decade while ensuring it continues to be the leader in Business News. Shereen has broken a a range of news stories and has also interviewed some of the biggest names in business, politics, both globally and in India.

Creating a platform for startup and first generation entrepreneurs, has been on of Shereen ’s most significant contributions. As the Anchor & Editor of YOUNG TURKS, India’s longest running show on entrepreneurs, Shereen has profiled India’s new generation of business leaders and has helped nurture the startup ecosystem for the last 18 years. Young Turks, is the recipient of many awards and has built a niche for itself over the years.

In her 19-year career tryst with business Journalism, Shereen has been the recipient of the ‘Best Business Talk Show’ award several times. She has won the Best English News Anchor Award, the “FICCI Woman of the Year” award for her contribution to the media and many others. She has also been named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum.
