Simarjeet Singh !
Simarjeet Singh (Batch of 1993), is Current India No 1 Amateur Golf Champion (Above 35 years) and has been a Member of India Golf team 6 times.
He has been playing competitive Golf Tournaments (IGU Nationals/ International) since 1990. He has been Playing National IGU circuit for last 20 years and has been in the “Top 20 IGU Order of Merit” since 2000. His Current Rank is National IGU Ranking number 1 and he is Current National IGU Mid-Amateur Champion, India.
International Performance (Golf – Amateur)
· Team mentor for Indian GOLF Team which participated in Asian Games 2018 Jakarta.
· Team mentor for Indian GOLF team which participated in Australia, December, 2017 at Melbourne & January, 2018 at Perth.
· Represented India in numerous International Tournaments (individual/ team) under the aegis of the Indian Golf Union i.e. Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Bangladesh, South Africa, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
· Winner individual – Sri Lankan Amateur Open- 3 times in a row (2000, 2001 & 2002).
· Represented India in NOMURA CUP (Asia-Pacific Golf Championship) in 2003 in Australia and 2005 in Tokyo, Japan.
· Represented India in SPIRITS CUP in 2013 in Houston, USA.
· Member of the winning Indian team- 4 times SAARC Golf Championship.
National Performance (Golf – Amateur)
· Participating in National Amateur Golf Tournaments since 1993 organized by the Indian Golf Union.
· Winner-IGU Mid Amateur GOLF 2018, 2019.
· Runner up- IGU Mid Amateur GOLF 2014, 2016 & 2017.
Post AFBBS, he did his B.Com from Khalsa College, Delhi University and then joined Oil India Ltd where he is currently employed for past 24 years. He is married to Amanpreet and has a son, Sukhman Singh (who is National No 5 Juniors India Golf). He is a Foodie and loves watching Movies !
