Dear AFBBS Fraternity ( Ex Teachers / Teachers / Alumni & Students )

I joined BBAFS in July 1971 (at the age of 24+ ), just after passing out my college.That year, BBAFS introduced class IX ( First year of 3 years Higher Secondary ) and school appointed some Senior teachers ( HOD ) –

Mrs Choudhary (Eng)

Ms Sen (Music)

Mr Chatterjee(Music)

Mr Ramiaya (Accounts).

This way in 1971-72, I taught all three sections of class VIII and class IX Maths group ( the first batch,which passed out in 1974 ) and in following year year in July 72,some more Senior teachers joined –

Mr Uppal (Physics)

Mr S C Kapur (Chemistry)

Mr O P Banga ( Economics)

Followed by,

Mr S L Bhasin (Chemistry)

Mr Anand Swaroop (Accounts)

School excelled in all sports – Cricket, Swimming, Volleyball etc, under the leadership of respected Principal Mrs Baxi, who steered BBAFS to great heights.

You will surprise to know that I was High Jump incharge for many years.

School’s Annual cultural and sports day were unparalleled and perhaps the very best.

Enjoying all the activities – Art, Batik, Sports and studies, our first batch passed out in 1974, with excellent results. In 1975, second batch passed,

to this batch (Maths Group); I taught good four years, and that’s how till date I remember most of them.

And so on – – –

In 1979, the first batch of CBSE 10+2 started.In 1999, I was promoted as Vice Principal and in 2004, I was given the responsibility of Principal of prestigious AFBBS.

After enjoying 36 year of my life in this esteemed institution with Students and my fellow Teachers, I retired in March 2007.

After retirement, I worked with my 1976 batch student Dinesh Mehta (US based company) for online Maths teaching / content recordings for around two and half years and learned a lot there.

Presently I am working as Director in a “Cambridge Assessment International Education (London)” affiliated International School at Noida and teaching A-Level Maths also.

Please allow me to say that I am enjoying Maths teaching for last 55 years ( I started teaching Maths & Science in High School at Meerut in 1965 after Completing B.Sc B.Ed ).

All this was possible by God grace.

I enjoy listening to old songs and gazals in my free time; morning walk and exercise in a group is my daily routine.In family, my wife is the fulcrum. I have two children, both of them are ex AFBBS students, 1996 and 1997 batch pass out. My son did MBA from IIM Lucknow. My daughter did Computer Engg from PEC Chandigarh and is settled at Fremont,CA.
